Fragile Archives

Inspired by cave paintings, this series considers paper as a contemporary descendant of stone — a surface that receives and preserves human traces.

Through the combination of kozo, gampi, abaca, cotton, and hemp fibers, the works explore the coexistence of transparency, strength, and fragility. The image emerges from within the material, held together by the fibers themselves.

Like the walls of a cave, the paper becomes a carrier of marks, gestures, and memories: a fragile archive of human presence.
